I have full leather in my Spyder and IMHO it is a dramatic improvement over the standard interior. I will say that I am disappointed that I couldn't order the car with black natural leather, I would have probably paid for that upgrade.

The standard leather isn't too bad if it is properly maintained (conditioning once a month!) but it certainly doesn't wear as well as the leather they used in my 928's.

At least with Sport Bucket seats the only real wear area is the lower seat bolster which can be easily replaced in the future if needed.

On my 08 and 09 C4S cars I ordered Brown natural Leather and it was fantastic. In May I ordered a 2012 997 Turbo S and was told Brown Natural leather was no longer available as a standard order option. It was now a special order option and would add $1750 and an additional two months to the build. My car was scheduled for July build but now it is September build. One month before the new 991 will start production.

That's really too bad that they are essentially dropping Natural Brown Leather from the lineup. As a Leather To Sample color it will be a bit more expensive. I guess their move to Espresso is something they are doing to differentiate the 997s from the 991s.

With many colors, Natural Brown is a great combination.

Griz, you mind checking your option codes to see if you have "I998"? I believe this is the natural leather option code. I have an '08 GT3 with full leather and natural gray leather. It feels super silky smooth, but just wanted to know if this included ALL the leather parts in the car esp the dash and anywhere else you see stitching which reaches as far back as the rear "seats".

Thanks.

Are you sure it's not I998? Thanks.

I have a "Carrera Red Natural Leather" option listed on my 08 C2S sticker as $4875 option, followed by a separate line of "Leather Interior Natural Lthr" with N/C. Is this the samething? So it does come with different color?

By the way how do you care for these?
