Turbo Wheels -- $$

Last night while checking out a new Targa at our dealership openhouse the car came with the forged Turbo wheels.
Two things against them,--(1) the look doesn't really work for me; and (2) the price on the Monronny sticker showed that they will cost you $2440.00 MORE than the default Carrera S wheels.

Forging makes for stronger wheels, as well as being lighter in general.
However, as an OEM wheel, strength is going to have priority over weight...these have to last the warranty period and beyond for liability reasons.

If I ordered a 997TT, I think I would take a basic Carrera wheel, ask for a $2400 discount, and us that for some aftermarket wheels. No matter how many times I see them, I just don't like those wheels.

I saw some nice pics on the 997 Turbo Forum. The guys car was Cobalt Blue and he had GT3 wheels on it. They looked REALLY good on the car, IMO.
