Default Sam's schedule

Do you know if Sam is going to be around LA/OC for the balance of the week? If you have any contact information, outside of the #s on his website, please pass that along. Thanks!

Glad to hear that you've had a good experience.

Unfortunately, Sam is headed back up to Nor Cal later this evening (he was here this weekend to do a few shows in L.A. and S.D. I believe), but I'm sure he'll be back down soon

Yes, clay and polish prior to film install. You want it to be as perfect as possible. Any light dirt can end up scratching the finish during and removal of films. You want to be sure all dirt, dust, or surface imperfections (rail type dirt etc) are off the finish. Remember, they float it on with a water based lube that does not leave any residue. While it's being positioned, you do not want it to contact any dirt which may end up as a light scratch or marring under the film.

Sure there are quite a few that wrap the whole hood. I've seen an SUV done for someone that parks in NYC garage and had all the doors covered to protect from dings etc.

Regards,
Deanski

I was the last stop on Premier's Tour this time around. I was a holdout for the clearbra because I just don't like them. I finally threw in the towel and had it installed today because after doing PDE a couple of weeks ago my interests will bring me to the track and I want to protect the car as much as possible.

Premier ( Sam & Wilson) did an excellent job on the install, I went with the full custom bumper, full hood, lights, & partial fender. I opted to leave the mirrors uncovered for now. They were very careful and it was obvious they have a lot of experience with the 997. The coverage I went for was as seamless as possible and the least noticeable. I am very happy with the results.

996toomey -
small world! Sam & wilson had just finished my car before heading over to your place. they were asking me how long it would take to get to Stevenson Ranch from LA and I seriously had no idea with pre-holiday traffic. I did however think how funny would it be if their next client was another rennlister... I got the same setup as you minus the full hood, but i may opt to add it later, in addition to the full fenders.

I'd like to have a clear bra installed before too many miles go by. That said, can anyone recommend an installer in the Orange County area? For those who have / had clear bras, anything that you can tell me of your experience, positive/negative would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I took my car for a detail a couple of months ago. They also do clear bras on high end cars here in Vegas. The owner spent at least 20 minutes admiring my install and then made all of his staff stop work and look at my install as well. Oh yeah, it was Sam and Wilson's work from Premier.....Nice job guys.

Just go to any Porsche meet and within 10 minutes, you can pick out the ones with clear bar installed by Sam & Wilson, and the others.
Do wait for them in LA or bring the car to them here in SF.

All,

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. It's clear (no pun intended) that Sam & Wilson are the fan favorites. How do they stack up from a cost perspective relative to other installers?

Since nobody brought it up. Let us do this for the community. We do cost more and it is reflected in the quality of the install. There are certainly companies that charge much less....in some cases, running about half of what we charge. How does this happen? Well, the guys that just gone through a 2-4 day training program that are now "certified" need to find work desperately. How would the newcomers compete and gain experience? By price.

I need you guys to redo my clear bra. I finally got my husband to agree that it needs to be done. When will you be back in West LA?

I had Sam install the clear bra from rear view mirrors forward about 8 months ago. I noticed
a few stretch marks and tiny indentations on the hood portion. Called Sam and he reinstalled a
new hood bra with no hesitation. It's now perfect
