Interesting horn for your Porsche

Yes, how difficult is the horn to replace. I had my car for a month when a medium pickup truck ran a stop sign and an ended up blocking an intersection to oncoming traffic. When he started to backup out of the intersection (towards me), I sat on my horn for what seemed like an eternity. Needless to say, I honked the horn and he did not hear. He ran up over my front and hood. $4700 and a new hood and front spoiler later, I partly blame the horn.

Careful guys, don't confuse an "underweight" horn with an idiot driver... <g>
I'm convinced that you could have an air raid siren under your hood and most people are so freaking clueless that they would back into you anyway... "oh, I didn't see your little car!"

Years ago I installed a very loud airhorn on a sport bike. One blast of the horn and cars moved - fast. It sounded like a freight train was about to come through. It probably saved my life a couple of times.
There has been times that I thought about doing the same for the C2S. A loud horn is very effective at getting peoples attention.

It was posted here, where light hearted and humorous posts used to be the norm. As evidence of that, you'll notice that none of the posts from five months ago were negative. And that since this thread was revived yesterday there were 3 negative posts just in one day critical of the video.
Coincidence?

Regardless, driving around with a horn like that and scaring the crap out of people seems juvenile and rude. Kind of like the guy in the CGT with straight pipes. Oh well, to each his own.

The cops should have arrested them for disturbing the peace, if nothing else. And those horns should be illegal and should earn the owner a ticket.
I wonder if there's a decibel limit allowed by law? Seems like there should be, huh?

Good post, Rolf.
And for those who ordered the shop manual through me, go to Section 63 15 19, Removing and Installing Front Spoiler - as of MY 2005, Page 827, for the instructions on how to remove the front bumper cover - the necessary preliminary work cited here.
