Default airbag warning cover-ups

Just a quick fyi... I purchased a set of black "sticker" cover-ups that cover the airbag warning lables on the sun-visors of our 997's. (I actually think all newer P-cars use the same visor. They are awesome, and they make the interior look 10x better. The visors are actually all black on both sides now... very cool. I got them off of e-bay from a guy named Boxster Bob if you are interested. I am assuming alot of you may know about these, but for those who don't just enter Porsche 997 as a search on ye ole e-bay...

Hi,

Here is the DIY for removing the stickers. The car looks alot
better without them.

Paul- Thanks, very interesting... I had thought about this but figured it would have to leave some type of discoloration. I guess not... and I thought I had some great piece of info. Oh well... Cover ups still look good for those who don't have the time for the removal. I'm probably going to the garage now to pull everything off because this will drive me crazy now...

Hi,

If you leave a most cloth with the rbbing alcohol on for about four minutes
the stickers come off easier. Most of the glue comes off with the aldohol.
This is a piece of cake.

I did this (the sticker removal process) on my 996 visors about 2 months ago. It was very easy and the visors look MUCH better!

I removed my stickers using the DIY method in the linked post from Renntech. It worked great although my visors are sand beige. If I put my glasses on and if the light is very bright I can see a faint outline - probably my imagination though. My only concern with black is that the outline of the removed stickers might be more visible. But again - I think the visors look so much better without the stickers.

I used the stickers on the black, back lids of the visors, but the front's are Grey, so I may use the alcohol method.
The large lid icons were much more irritating to me than the smaller front ones!!

With my leather visors (natural brown) I don't want to take a chance with some odd removal chemicals.

Hi,

My brother did it to his and he has a leather interior. I
do not know if his visors are leather.
