Default special color

I like this color. Car is new (Va dealer) and on e bay auction. I am wondering if the dealer expects to get over MSRP due to the paint or just a casual looking for a buyer? Are these cars being discounted today and if so what % is typical?
Thanks!

That looks like a "paint to order" color, a $4300 option that the dealer will want to be compensated for. Do a search, and you will find multiple threads on the topic of discounts. People are paying anything from near list to a maximum discount of somewhere around 11%.

Euroclassics does a lot of special colors, call Mike Falcone, tell him Eric the Plug Guy sent you. He'll deal. Nothing over list, special color is charge enough....

That one is Maritime Blue. He's also got a few others. Very tasteful.

Look at this "stand out from the crowd" 997!

Thanks for the input. I sent them a e mail "would you take" trading my V70R Volvo and Mini S (clean out the garage)

I am not a new car buyer but do like that color so who knows... Car is $91K MSRP geez that could put a kink in the race $

There's also another unusual 06 in Northern VA: a dark Gray with WHITE interior. It actually looks better than it sounds. Maybe more of a Mercedes combo...

- not sure of the porsche name of the color, but Audi used that color, called "Nogaro" Blue
starting in 2000 on S4s - it makes that specific car look great (I own one so I'm biased)

The Maritime Blue is quite nice. That's a dealer who will go out on a limb to order something a little bit special. As mentioned, the Paint To Sample option is about $4300 but to me, worth it, as you get something that you don't have to go out the next day and get custom wheels for. The car, itself, is already unique. If a 07 model I suspect you can get abou 6% off MSRP for it,--depending upon how it is configurated, this could be a good deal.

Looks great but you'll be paying S money for a base Carerra. Personally I'd rather have the extra HP and better brakes but it is a beautiful car
