Here are some shots taken on 10/19/06 up at the Thunderhill track in Willows about 70 miles north of Sacremento.

I put blue painters tape over my headlights but I didnt really need it.

Nice drivin' ... the car looks great at speed.

 

excuse my ignorance but what does the tape do? protect from rocks?

 

The tape protects from rocks but more importantly (especially when headlights and headlight covers were made of glass) it keep shattered glass from being spread across the race track where it can puncture tires.

Nice pics. Can't wait to go back. Just did the 125cc shifter karts at Sears Point (Infineon Raceway) last Saturday. Talk about an adrenaline rush!
