I changed my brakes, but broke the sensor- that sensor in the back of the brake is a real bear!

Anyways, the sensor has a metal cover over it to prevent it from coming out. Does anyone know how to take the metal cover off? There are these tabs which look like they should rotate down, so that you can pull the cover off, but they don't seem to want to move.
