wouldnt even buy a porsche if it wasnt going to be my daily driver.
unless it was specifically for the track.
best way to start your day w/ a smile - fire up the porsche!
Damn right, Jeff. I made the decision several weeks ago to just drive the 911. In Arctic Silver, it looks good even when it's filthy. I just purchased a set of Carrera S lobster-fork take-offs and Pirelli 240 SnowSport tires from Wheel Enhancement - and while I won't take her out deliberately in a blizzard, I just can't stop driving this car.
A buddy told me that his 996 C2 is "going in the garage for the winter (last) weekend". I told him that he was an idiot. That wasn't very nice of me... but it definitely separates the enthusiasts from the "collectors"... I asked him "who in the Hell are you saving it for? The next owner?". How silly.
I spent some time in Munich last January thru March. I was totally enthralled with the sheer number of filthy 911s running the streets of the city, snow tires mounted (it's the law) and their owners smiling from ear to ear.
If I had a 993 - a car that's basically non-replaceable - I'd think twice. But the 997 is replaceable. Therefore, I'm going to drive it... and drive it.... and drive it. Too much fun not to!

I agree, expecially when I read about or see a 993TT'S' on the road!
