Question Is this a good deal?

I have someone willing to sell me a set of Porsche 19" Sport Wheels take offs for $1600. They are supposed to be in mint condition. The price includes shipping.

Decent deal for wheels with no tires. Wheel Enhancement gets about $3k for new car take-offs including tires; I've seen them in the $2,000-2,500 range on Ebay with tires.

If that price includes tires with significant life left, it's an even better deal...and be sure to find out if there were TPMS sensors taken out, as they will have to be re-balanced.

It doesn't include tires, just the wheels. I've seen wheels with PS2 (almost new) for about $2,800. Is this a better deal?

Personally, I wouldn't pay for 'used' tires unless they are literally take-offs from a new car, and in that situation you should still see the mould pattern on the tread. $2,800 is about average for as-new with tires...how "almost new" are those PS2s? Check TireRack.com for OEM PS2 prices (don't forget mounting and balancing) to determine the best deal for you.

I sold my new take-off 19" Carrera S rims for $1750 (no tires). That's a good deal in my experience.

If the tires are really new (i.e. delivery miles) add $900.

Well, I've seen brand new Porsche brand Sport wheels (15 delivery miles) with an asking price of $1500... Shop a little harder and you should be able to find OEM Porsche product for that kind of money. I still don't understand it, but so many people buy a 997 and immediately change wheels and / or tires...
