Default GPS problems

I have my 997 coupe since the end of May 06 and have regularly encountered these gps issue:
1. after entering an address the gps guides me to a street with the same name a town or two from my where I wish to go-then if I have it reclculate the route it then takes me to the town I want
2. the gps does not recognize streets typed in for certain areas, however the streets appear on the map-I wrote to navtech about it over the summer and their suggestion was to use the alternate street name-which is ok if there is one and you know it-when I did that for Queens Boulevard-Queens NY-it did not work-they never responded to that (fyi-if you are not from New York-Queens Blvd is about 8-10 miles long with thousands of addresses-the dvd is useless for that area) streets are on map-not in database-although they will come up in the route instructions
3. drove to Montreal in July same issue-streets are on map-not in database-although they will come up in the route instructions also (plotted using the cursor-yes I changed the country database).

I believe that once you bring up the streets it will list all the streets with the same name and then you choose with one you want.

There complicated but once you figure out how to enter addresses they work quite well. The similar to the ones in Mercedes, which gave me a head start. Use the flash card they gave you instead of finding it in the big book.

Maybe the GPS couldn't find the city of Queens since it is a borough, would it help if you use Elmhurst?
