I am very sorry that I missed it. I was planning to come over, but my 9 year old son crashed on his bike and I was Mr. Dr. Doctor for a while. And I had a date with my wife.
Pavillions is tonight the track event is tomorrow.
Hey Luis,
Pleasure to meet you and the other guys at Pavillions on Saturday night. I'm the M5 owner putting down the bucks for the new 997TT.
It seems we may be neighbors, or close anyhow, I live just south of Shea on 120th street.
I will try and attend the next meet, I'm really thinking hard about picking up a 2005 or 2006 model instead to take advantage of the depreciation hit, but then again, I like the idea of a new car too. The more I talk to you and other owners the easier it will be to decide. I'm in for midnight blue metallic, thats the color we were trying to think of......
A word of caution, I spend a great deal of time in Bangkok, so if I'm out of touch now and then, apologies in advance.

If you get a preowned buy from a private party, not a dealer. Then, no sales tax.. major savings (you probably already know this, since you live in AZ).
It was great to see you guys out there. The event was awsome with no incidents. Everybody is ready to do it all over again next weekend. Check our calendar for upcoming events. www.scottsdaleexoticcarclub.com

Thanks, I did not know this....I dont think I have ever purchased a pre-owned vehicle, I would have assumed that you paid sales tax at registration.
Actually, as bad as I would like to get a new TT, the thought of getting a good used model and keeping my M5, is very appealing. Its been a decade since I've owned P cars and I'm not sure I know how to identify a good value when I see one. I'm crusing the forums trying to get an education as fast as possible.
My thinking for anyone that might wonder is as follows:
I really thought the new M5 would give me the best of all situations....However, while it is the most incredible car I have ever owned (don't take that lightly) it is just a bit to refinded, leaving me with a desire for a bit more "raw" performance I think will be in the TT.

John,
Let me know if you need any assistance during your search.
Hope all is well,
Luis
There are great deals on 996TTs. The 997TT will be more refined, so if you want a car that is a little more "raw" the 996 might be better. Although those of us that had older 911s would laugh about a 996 being raw.
Go to the pcar dealer and drive a used 996TT and a 997S. They probably don't have any 997TTs for test drives, but the S will give you and idea of how the car handles.
I was tempted by the 996TT but decided to go new. My 997S is my daily driver and I wanted some creature comforts offered by the 997.
If you go to the dealer ask for Mark. He is a friend and one of the few car enthusiasts at the dealer.
Good luck. I would love to see the M5. I loved my E55, my only reservation was that it was big and not a pcar.
