Are the standard semi leather seats any good >>?? I found one 997 with exactly what I want but it has the base leather . Are the seats good enough>? Can you change them afterwards?

I think the standard seats are very good. But, I'm sure you could change then afterwards.

My car already had the sports seats. Prior to buying mine I probably wouldn't have ordered the sports seats, but I've grown to like them.

The standard seats are way better than the seats in the 996, I'm very happy with them.

I have 18K miles on 05 C2 w/ stnd seats. I find them great. Just did quick w/e road trip w/ no fatigue. Might be nice to have more adjustments and memory but stnd seats work just fine.

Standard seats are very good and comfortable. I found the sport seats to be uncomfortable and dig into your body.

Sat in regular, sat in sport for me adaptive was the way to go!!
Infinite adjustment, especially good on long trips!!
Coming from a 92C2, the difference was amazing!
To each his own, try them all if you can!!

I have the std. seats with elec. option. Very comfortable. I found the sport seats too confining. If you do alot of tracking the sports give you more lateral support, but the trade off is less comfort around town. Just because they are standard seats doesn't mean they are 'standard' in their comfort....GR

Standard seats are fantastic...comfortable and supportive. You won't be disappointed.

The only difference I could tell going between standard and non-adaptive sport seats is the sport seats have higher side bolstering...up to the shoulders...which is fine if you always have both hands up on the wheel, but (for me at least) confining otherwise.

Standard seats are great... very supportive during sharp turns and very good on long distance (comfort).

i've got standard elec. seats.
they're decent for everyday use, but does not give sufficient lateral support when tracking.

I decided to get the standard seats. Quality is great, but after spending 8 hours days in the car, sure could use some lumbar support!!

Get the electric option. Both seats have lumbar support with a large range of adjustments....GR

Take a paperback book with you and go sit in a bunch of cars at the dealership. Only you can determine what works for you.

I've only had my 997 S a week, but on wednesday I spent 7 hours in it with a combination of motorway driving, country roads and lots of sitting in traffic queues. No back ache, nothing, I was really impressed and rate the standard seats as a big improvement over the ones in my 996 C4, much more low down support.

I also think the ability to move the Steering wheel in both directions, which I couldn't do in my 996 means you can always get the best driving position.

I also like the standard seats, but it is a street machine for me.
