I'm shopping for my first Porsche now and it looks like from a percentage discount most dealers are offering between 9-10% discounts from MSRP for 2006s. Most dealers I've talked to say that they can discount $1K right off the bat.

May be up to 10-14% from some recent posts. Not sure if that applies to the Bay Area; dealers seem to have attitude here.. ;-)

 

I'm getting an immediate 5% on 06 997S (i.e. e-mail reply with the lower price).

Aiming for 10% or more of course..

 

10%-11% off without too much negotiations.

 

Over email don't expect the dealers best offer...

They don't want you to take that offer to some other dealer and start a competition.

If you show up they will prob be willing to make the deal. IMO

Just hold firm

 

What about an ordered vehicle? Has anyone gotten any deals?

 

Good point, my number is for vehicles on the lot. Not when placing an order.

Agree with Evansaero, if I can get 5% by e-mail I expect more in person with cash in hand.
