Yet another reason I will never run 19s in Tri-state area. I run 18s in summer and 17s in winter... just not worth it for "looks"

I know here in California if that happens you do what RonCT says: Take a picture and note the date and time. Then send it along with the invoice to Cal-Trans (They manage the roads here in CA) and they will reimburse you.
My friend did this with his M5 with success!

I feel for you. Today I was driving into Nevada were there is some construction going on I80. Well during rush our with people tailgating, I came across a bridge where the connection between the bridge and new pavement was a huge gapping hole! Couldn't brake, hit it at 60mph. The deafening sound of my own voice yelling F#@k! I drove the next few miles staring at the TPMS just hoping. I was lucky, but that harsh hit must of done some type of damage! Stupid Nevada DOT!

Last week their paving of I80 during one of this countries largest motorcycle gatherings certainly facilitated in the death of one unfortunate motorcyclist. (Uneven Lanes, top 5 worst road hazard for motorcyclists)

Took me 8 months to get my damage check from CA. This after a chuck of concrete the size of a case of beer popped up on I80.

I hear ya, the NY area just plain sucks when it comes to potholes. At least your taking it to the right dealer Catena( just happens to be my dealer). My service guy there is Anthony. He is by fare the best. Just ask for him and he will take good care of you. Best of Luck with your car.

2100 for one rim and tire? I think that was abit steep. Tire alone should have been about $200 depending on size and type. But that leave what $1900 for another single wheel AND an alignment? No waay...and at what labor rate? I'd check that with another dealer and if it was outrageous go see the service manager and demand a refund of the difference. $2100 that's more than an indy shop charged me to replace my clutch in my old 996!

Or maybe they did some more work and didn't tell you? Good luck.

19" PS2 is easily $450 from the dealer...Carrera S rim is $1100, alignment $200...add in taxes and labor and your there.

Take off rims (no tires) are $1800 on that auction site, or about $3K for a set of 4 w tires, FYI should ya end up damaging another one.

Ron CT - that's great to know, thanks!!
