I'm in the class right now, going on day 2 of the "Master's" course. What he means is you'll learn to apply the maximum amount of brake pressure your tires will allow initially and then release pressure as you as you approach the turn-in point (trail braking if necessary). This first phase of braking needs to be quick and very strong, but controlled. The faster you're going, the stronger the pressure can/has to be. This is the opposite of what you normally do on the street which is soft initial braking with increased pressure the closer you are to reaching your desired speed. So for those that have never taken a class like this before, or don't have equivalent knowledge or experience, the initial amount of force applied to the brakes can be very surprising, especially with PCCBs!
