OK, now I'm thinking of a black 997S with black XXR wheels. I've searched but have come up empty. Opinions and pics would be appreciated. BTW, I dropped the idea of red with red wheels. See, your opinions really do matter to me. Thank you for your help.

Less talk. More action.
Go buy a car. It's more fun driving it that thinking about every possible combination of options/colors.
Black w/black wheels looks mean but would be a bitch to keep clean.

Wow, Tim-- they look good on the configurator.
The XRR's really grow on you, esp on a 997 but also saw XRR the other day on a slate grey base Cayman and they really made the car.
I was in Denver last week and saw this Basalt black metallic C4S w/ painted XRR wheels.

Definitely unique-- this car carried a Batmobile-like presence in front of Stevinson's when surrounded by more common appearing 987 and 997s. I think the black makes the XRR's look somewhat bland by downplaying the nice contours of the spokes too much.
Personally I'd like to see Arctic silver XRR wheels... or just stick with stock GT silver XRR's.
Couple more pics below from a car that Porsche North Olmsted had on their floor.

The two attached pics were from a non-metallic jet black 997 that Porsche North Olmsted had on their floor and sold about 6 mos. ago.
