Go to your DMV and they may look up your ideas to see it they are taken and that is how to eliminate ideas and get the plate which will be available.

Can you check online? Here in Ontario, you can order online. It will even tell you what's considered unacceptable. I had fun trying all kinds of combos, but the system is pretty good at decyphering messages. This one was rejected somehow : em tae

Which State are you in cowhorn ? As that determines the configurations of numbers letters you are allowed.
