Question Latest Money Factor Rates

What are the latest Porsche Credit money factors, or where can I find them.

Also any other sources for better rates?

Thanks!

I remember seeing them in the Roadfly forums. I believe that the money factors were around .00320 regardless of the term. The residuals were 64% 12k/36mo on C2 and 62% on C2S. Now sure if the dealer is going to mark up the base rate.

Try US Bank. Got a money factor that equated to roughly 4.6% back in June. Bonds are up again so you might be able to get a similar rate.

Hmmm.....US Bank. I will keep that in mind as well. The only thing that I am not sure of, is the residual value from US Bank. Many times the captive finance company is better.

If you find better rates than PFS, let us know.

I asked the same question on RoadFly - response below. My initial research was that while better rates are available, the MUCH higher residual from the captive Porsche financing swamped the lower rate in terms of lease payment. A .0032 money factor is 7.68% (multipy by 2400). If you find better terms, I'd like to know as well as I haven't decided whether I'm going to buy or lease the C4S I have on order (Nov build - being a waiter is tough ).

You can use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Capitalized Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Monthly Depreciation
(Capitalized Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Monthly Interest
Monthly Depreciation + Monthly Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Thanks again guys, excellent info.

Does anyone know if you can reduce the money factor thru multiple security deposits?

How much money are they willing to loan at that rate? I'd love to borrow at least a few million and invest that money in a 11 month CD at 5.4% which is the rate being paid by my local Credit Union.

I do not know about the multiple security deposits. I do not think so. From what I remember, BMW was doing it. Let us know what you find out.

avogues, those lease rates you posted were helpful at giving me an idea of what to expect. My 2007 997 C2S Coupe Tip arrives to the dealer later this week - do these rates change significantly in 1 months time, or can I still rely on these as being pretty accurate?

Thanks!

Prime hasn't moved, so I would not imagine that money factors have moved unless Porshce is trying to stimulate sales (either through reduced, below-market money factors or increased residuals).

interesting to see the base C2 has a stronger residual than the S models. Wonder why - possibly fewer made comes to mind.

Being that the S is more desireable, PFS probably feels that they do not have to give as good of a deal on the rates for an S. Also probably the difference in price between the S and non-S will be reduced over time.
