Porsche's Window Logic - Inconsistent
All of our 997's have one-touch-up/down driver's window and one-touch down passenger's window. However, the passenger's window is only "kind of" one-touch up, provided you hold the button past the window's half-way point.
On my wife's 987S (2005 Boxster), both windows are completely one-touch up/down.
If there's a logic to this difference between models from the same manufacturer, I don't get it.
How come they're different? Why can't the 997 have true one-touch up/down like the Boxster?

I am not sure of the Porsche safety logic behind it (if any),...but it certainly is an annoyance! Maybe it's to make sure you don't accidentally send the passenger window up on a golden retriever or somethingorother.

Check out wardo's post: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/299196-remote-key-available-for-coupe.html
I think it might actually be worth the $300!

It might be a software problem. There left rear window in my Cab won't close when bring the top up. You have to jack it up by hitting the button several time. I've been meaning to take it in.

And don't forget the stupid convertible top up/down button. Why do I have to hold it down the whole damn time, AND it rolls the windows up. So I always end up with the windows starting to roll up, then having to roll them down. Utterly stupid.

the window logic isnt cab/coupe/boxster/997 relivant, i cant figure out the diffrence between the them
Ive had every model and style with a full one touch pass window and every model with a half one touch window, as far as a ican tell its not in the coding?
Its one of thoses mistorys "how many licks does it take"

I did not.The rear window goes up to the point where it almost closes, but then comes back down a couple inches or so. Only happens when I'm putting the top up, and it doesn't happen all the time. I'll give the recalibration a try.

I have an '07 Cab and I too have the issue of the driver side rear window only closing half way when putting up the top. Whatever the problem, it was not corrected with the '07 models.

Apparently the Cabriolets have true one-touch up/down for both front windows, but the Coupes do not.
This would explain why my wife's Boxster's windows have it, but my C2S does not.
However, it still doesn't clear up WHY Porsche would do it this way.
How about the Cayman? Does the passenger's window have one-touch up/down? Or, does it have to go half-way up like the 997 Coupes?

EDIT: Actually, I'm lying. I remember it happened one more time shortly after, but I did the whole djantlive thing again and since then I haven't experienced the problem (it's been several months now).
