I think steffi looks great from her neck down As for Brooke, she looked kind of weird when I saw her on Leno last week.

and by the way, overall I think Motor Trend is just a bad car mag., and I much prefer Car and Driver

Fact: I am a Porsche fan, and a waiter on an October-build 911S.

Fact: I posted this link because I thought people might be interested in reading an article about the 911.

Fact: These are the exact summary quotes from the article. Since the article was written from the standpoint of picking a winner in each comparison, I stand by my original statement, whether I'm happy with the results or not.

911 vs Vette
But at the end of the day, the Z06 is a much faster, quicker, and higher-performing car--a rocket-propelled grenade to Porsche's HK416 assault rifle. The ultimate Corvette outperforms the 911 Carrera S in enough contests--and decisively enough--that it cannot be dismissed on the basis of its lower-rent interior and its hot, loud ride. When performance matters most, as it surely must for anyone considering a Z06, the 911 simply falls short. Advantage Corvette.

911 vs Aston Martin
If style matters enough for you to have tried them both on, and if you can afford either, you'll be happier in the Aston Martin.

911 vs Cayman
Being the only competitor the 911's creators have anything to say about, it should surprise nobody that the Cayman takes second in this round by a photo-finish, owing to the 911's superior overall performance. But it's only by the slimmest of margins, and as we've shown, that margin can easily be erased with bucks.

Opinion: This forum is filled with the most holier-than-thou people I've ever come across on any internet forum. Someone offers something to share, and everyone jumps on him like a bunch of snobs. I'm called a troll, the taliban, a mis-reader, a Chevy salesman, infiltrator, and an instigator. Very nice guys.

Guess this forum isn't for me.
This is a tough crowd, and if you search we've argued the Porsche vs. the world thing so many times we just get a little bitchy.

Like someone else posted, please stick around if you're a car fan, and have some thicker skin - we can take it as well as dish it out.

On topic, I would love to know how many articles have been written in the 40+ years of the 911 that basically wrote how terrible the car was from any aspect?

Iconic doesn't even come close to describing these machines.

Over the last 30 years I've met well over 50 owners of 911s and vettes. The owners I met fall into one of three cargories:

1.911 is the king and vettes are garbage and would never consider buying a vette - about 20%

2. Vette is the king and 911s are underpowered, overpriced, overhyped garbage and would never consider buying one - about 10%

3. 911s and vettes are both outstanding sports cars and I've either owned both of them or would consider buying either - about 70%

To each is own. But this is a Porsche Board and we Porsche owners have a lot of product loyalty. I imagine if one went over to the Vette Board and started bragging about Porsches the reaction would be the same.

That's the saddest list of cars I've ever seen....
I like the most recent one with the 2006 Honda Civic. Definitely THE car to have in 2006.
NOT!

And who could forget the Citroen SM? I did. Citroen never did really import their cars to the US so was this the car of year in France?

The cars on that list aren't all crap. My '85 GTI was amazing, it handled like it was on rails, and the Roadrunner on the list was fast as ****, enough to scare you, granted, it didn't handle worth a damn, but holy crap did it go...
