997 S? Is it 3 months for the paint to cure?

I had mine done within 1 week of picking it up. The detailer said there would be no problem and he was right. The dealers put on junk if any at all. I told them to do nothing and had Moe do the detail....GR

These cars should be prepped and waxed immediately. Remember they have been sent over by boat. The paint is well past being cured. Also for the first time wash and clay bar the paint (prep is everything)...then go with whatever your delight. I prefer Zaino.

The clear coat is immediately ready for washing/claying/polishing/waxing.

"Strike a pose and just get to it..." or whatever Madonna said in that song...

Ready to wax right away, no delay...

Quick answer as others have posted is no need to wait. OTOH, sounds like you might be looking for some more definitive info on "how-to" and maybe some product recommendations?

OC Ben as posted some superb washing and detailing tips on our forum. Just do a search for his name and you'll find his links at the bottom of his signature. He's really captured the finer points of careful washing etc.

This topic comes up every so often. I waxed mine that afternoon when I picked it up in Zuffenhausen. Early enough for you?

I waxed mine before it was put together.

Thanks, all. I must be thinking about the old single-stage paints. My bad.
