Default Loud Engine Ticking

Does anybody elses car make loud ticking noises from the engine area after driving the car hard? Im not sure if its exhaust noise or valvetrain noise but Im a little concerned about it. Car runs great, no problems other than the noise. Any ideas?

I get what I assume is normal ticking from the exhaust system cooling off after shut down. While it does seem louder than most of the other vehicles I've owned, I have never given it a second thought.

Just the engine and exhaust cooling down. Nothing to worry about... normal operation.

If the noise continues after the engine shuts off, then it is probably the heat as mentioned above. If it stops when you shut it off, may be valve lifters.

It definitely sounded like lifter noise to me. It only did it when it was really hot. Im wondering if the specified 0w-40 oil has anything to do with the lifter noise? Im a little concerned. Should I be?

Changing the oil to a 15w50 would be the first thing I would do. Simply drain the oil and leave the filter alone.
