Must stop looking on ebay...run across illogical outcomes.

 

Why? Probably bought it cheap right before it was officially declared a salvage vehicle, and rebuilt it with cheap parts.

For the most part I say "to each his own", but when falsely indicating it as a 'Turbo', the guy is nothing but a poseur.

 

It's one thing to incorporate the turbo's body panel BUT to include the "turbo" CF door sill??? That's just bizarre.

Best guess is it is probably a good car. Looking at the list of what it has in it, it was either set up as a show car or someone just wanted to waste a bunch of money. The only real issue I see is the price. Sure there is a lot of money, but for $86K you would have to be on crack to buy this car. You could buy a new 997 cab for less.

 

he says turbo body, doesn't specifically say it's a turbo.

 

Look at the rear deck lid. And the door sills.

 

this car looks pretty cool in person actually as opposed to the "wicked" cars on ebay.
I pass by it every day when I go to Alhambra, san gabriel valley.

 

I can't stand the "wicked" cars and their ads on Ebay. Some folks know how take a good thing and wreck it. How very sad.

If it's a 996 - where did they get the 997 headlamps? I thought the Turbo body was from a 996 as well...

 

You know it's actually not a bad body job. Not my thing, but I'd admit the quality of body work looks pretty good from the pictures.

The signature is annoying and childish. I just put him on the ignore list and his posts don't show up unless I decide to open them (which I don't). So anything he does is transparent to me. Anyone else can do the same in the Control Panel.

 

Totally forgot about that. I used ignore for poeple that acted like trolls but the lightbulb never went off for people that I don't care to read what they have to say (or they abuse of the sig line). Nothing against Vancouver, just still a youngster.
