I always loved that video for obvious reasons.

Just think how well a 4S would have done in the mix of the pack presented.

Just goes to show - more Hp doesn't mean more wins.

Yeah, that was a good episode of Top Gear. It makes me depressed though since they are done with this season!

I agree Jay, a C4s would have eaten some lunch out there!

You may be interested to know that Richard Hammond went on to buy a C4S for himself. He is a true Porsche fan. James May has a Boxster, Jeremy Clarkson a GT40 amongst his Mercedes and other various chariots!

Its also interesting to note that the 997 had the carbon ceramic brakes, which probably gave it the edge!

You could not have even heated up those CF brakes in that time with cold rainy conditions. Bottom line is when you put 2 serious GT cars against a real race bred sports car it is not even a fair fight. I love the AMV8 and the M6 for obvious reasons, style(the AM) comfort(both) and some good brut strength(more the M6), but this competition was was like bringing knives to a gun fight.

Stright line acceleration on a dry strip - the M6 is a monster, a 6 hour drive with a bunch of luggage, again - some people will clearly prefer one of the others, put them all on a track and you'll have one 1 clear winner every time.
