Default Correct Oil Pressures

I know what the manual says: Approximately 3.5 at 5,000 RPM's.

Mine at 5,000 RPM's is pegged at 5.0. There is no way could I get the pressure to read what the manual states at 5,000 RPM's.

I get 4.5 or so at 3,000 RPM's (which is approx 80 MPH in Tiptronic 5th).

At idle I get about 1.5 indicated.

My oil indicator also shows all the bars filled in, not the top bar clear as the manual indicates as normal. However, after reading the thread dealing with the oil indicator, it seems many have had all the bars filled for a period of time, then back to normal.

The oil was changed by the local dealer 1,000 miles ago. (I did not touch it at all).

Are the oil pressures I am getting too high?
