engine hesitation 997 S x51
finally happended to me yesterday. 4000 miles . went on spirited run with exotic get together from ny. later apprx 1/2 tank of fuel had just stopped for bathroom break when i pulled away at moderate throttle car starts kicking and bucking like you were turning fuel supply off and on. at wot no issues. kept rpms up till i hit parkway and then ran at appx 3000 all the way home. at home no issues.
spoke to service manager today said no tsb's and he had not heard of this issue with 997s or x51. said that fuel filter has a bypass in it and when it fills up the bypass activates and can send contaminates down the trail to the engine. if it happens again come in and we will read faults. no cel lite came on.

I was told the same by the dealer in Vegas, who also said he reads Rennlist to stay up on issues.
Sorry to hear what happened. It is very frustrating.

Happened to me on Saturday morning on my way from NYC to upsate. Similar situation as discussed by others. Tank was about half full at the time. Worse/most noticeable in 2nd and 3rd. It stopped after about 15-20mins and has worked fine since (went for a "hard" drive on Sunday and nada, rien) Did no get any check engine lights nor computer messages.
Just talked to a friend of mine who has a 992 C2S (mine C4S) that had similar episode about a month ago.
Im taking the car to the dealer this week but given prior feedback from everybody here looks like nothing they can do?

Although my car has not stalled since the dealer told me of the issues with other Porshces and two-footed driving, it has been a bit difficult for me to re-train my driving for this car. Two-footed is much faster, I have done it all my life (and no I don't go through brakes like someone else suggested) and the car shouldn't stall out because of it.
