Default When thanks are due

As some of you may know, in the first 4 months of ownership I had several electrical problems (mostly sensor related) with my 2006 997. Sensors were replaced after trips to the dealer only to have the same sensor go bad again. One stay was for 9 days as the replacement sensor was itself bad. It got kind of frustrating, time consuming, plus I missed having the car. I had heard horror stories of how poorly Porsche (PCNA) treats P-car owners, i.e., us.
I'd like to say that BOTH the dealer in Asheville (Deal Motors from whom I did NOT buy the car but where I am treated as if I had) and PCNA have treated me and my car's problems very professionally. PCNA and Deal "took ownership" of the problem and got it fixed. As they surmised, the problem was a loose ground wire (which the car was delivered with).
So I wanted to say thanks to both PCNA and Deal Motors for working together and fixing the annoying problem and for the way I was treated. I really did get the idea they want us to be satisfied happy owners.
By the way, I was told that these Forums are read closely by the folks at PCNA.
(So watch what you say - just kidding.)

PCNA can be a class act, no doubt. HOWEVER - if they are reading this - why can't you crash just three or four non-sunroof cars!?

Glad that you're back, and glad your baby is in tip top shape, now stop talking to us on here and go make up for lost time!

Default ABSOLUTELY OPPOSITE EXPERIENCE

I had a totally opposite experience. My 996TT was in the shop 3 out of 12 months. The tech said the motor needed replacing. PCNA continued to order test after test after test. Finally I received a phone call directly from the regional manager (can't remember the exact job title) PCNA. I was promised a return phone call from the gentleman within a week. He refused to give me his number and/or email address. Three weeks went by and nothing. I contacted the dealer here in Corpus Christi, and they to had heard nothing. Enough was enough. Traded her. Extreme disappointment.

I lost 5k on the trade not including all the upgrades and service.

Don -
Glad things have worked out for you. Are you sure your problems weren't caused by those 'rasquelly' little white squirrels?

Hi Dave,
Me too, glad she's fixed and running great now!
I think the "S's" come with the fast squirrels; mine's a non-S so I think it came with the slightly slower chipmunks.

Shouldn't have to flip a car in this range due to dealer ineptness. Quite the opposite. When you pay this kind of money for a car, they should bend over backwards to find/fix the problem, but most important of all they should communicate with you.
