Default New car "extra options" - poll

I'm curious as to what others have done, in regards to the options dealers offer when you do your financing: extended warranty, LoJack, Speed Film (clear bra), and wheel/tire warranty. In particular, I'm curious who bought the last three

However, I did put the clear bra on after.

dealer asked if I were interested in the clear bra, if so they would recommend. I said yes but they never call me back with the installer name.

My dealer is pushing hard for the clear bra and LoJack - neither of which I had planned on getting. I got to go back in the service area and see where they had installed a couple - one on black, one on silver. The silver was much harder to see, but thogh still had the 'orange peel' effect to some degree which I really dislike.

Ben - how about you ultimate car care guys? Is it worth it? I don't inspect my car by flourescent lamp, and I usually don't even wash it myself. The protectant film is $995 which seems very steep, but I've never done it before so maybe it is right on.

Had the dealer throw in the Tire/Rim Insurance to seal the deal. Had it with the S4 and blew 2 tires at once. Then had the Clear Bra installed after the fact.

My dealer offered all three and I turned down all three. He had me reconsider the cost/benefit of wheel & tire insurance which I bought. I'm glad I bought it. The insurance paid for itself when one of my rear tires was punctured by a 1/4 inch piece of steel. The damage happened on Hwy 285 in Atlanta....

My dealer finance person showed me the huper optik display thing and I asked if I could see the Huper vs. metallic for more than just 5 seconds over the light... after 30 seconds the huper optik one popped/cracked! LOL!

Their clear bra cost $200 more than my preferred local place so I'm going with my local place that does it for about $500. I wouldn't pay $1000 unless it's Premier. More important than what the film is to me is WHO is installing it.

For you guys who installed the clear bra after purchase, what did you pay? What brand/type did you get installed?

Me either. Their comment was that you usually get it back either way - the difference is do you get it in 2 hours, or 2 weeks, and what is the difference in the condition. When my Suzuki Katana was stolen from right in front of my condo 7 years ago, I told the police I would prefer if they didn't look for it. The insurance check was part of the downpayment on my first house.
