Do you know if the car was actually put on the vessel today? Also, do you know if they use the same vessels for the tourist delivery cars as well as regular delivery?

All I know is that the code showed up today. You never know with Porsche. Most of the time they're delinquent with keeping up that stuff.

I see no reason for Porsche not to use their regular transport arrangements for the TD cars. My understanding of that is Porsche rents space on MB and BMW ships.

More insight into a San Diego delivery of Porsches!

The Virgo Leader, under the Panamanian flag, sailed 31 July from Bremerhaven. ETA San Diego: 21 August.

There are a variety of tools online for tracking vessels. Assuming an interest in west coast traffic, you can start with the bookings for the Panama Canal,--

http://www.boydsteamship.com/daily_traffic_report.htm

Also, you can check daily for updates to the San Diego harbor website,--

http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/

Finally, you can track vessels at sea if they are providing position reports that wind up online,--

I know the ETA for San Diego so I figure there's really no need to check until the 19th or so to see if they're on schedule!

Last thing I heard about that vessel is that pirates took control of it and took it to a far away island!! Where they love brandnew fast German cars!!

Buying a new car must be a huge strain on your patience!! How sweet when you can finally pick it up!
