I just reread your post, my wife would have been very happy if I had only bought 46 cars since we were married.

ghheeeezzzzz!!!!
your ages combine for 72 years between the TWO of you.
and you've had more than 72 cars!!!
subtract your pre-license ages of 16 each and that equals 40 driving years.
72/40= over 1.8 cars a year each for every year you've been driving!
and there highend cars!!!
all i can say is, WOW!
morrie, i bet that wife of five years has slowed your buying down?
kilikay, you must still be single?

Can I get $5?

I'm 19 and I've flipped 10 different cars, kept one, and am looking at buying an old diesel truck (for utility)

but flipping cars doesn't really count.

Anyways.. long story short.. SL55 looks beautiful.. But the jurie's still out on the 997 C4S cab.. I think it's pretty but it's not SEXY like the SL, although it's SEXY to drive :-) .. I've never driven a stickshift w/ such an easy clutch to modulate

if your cars only last 8 months, get something fun to drive.

i guess it's all who you want to appeal too!
i would think females find the 997s cab sexier than an sl55 any day of the week!

You know what icon?

I thought so too.. but a cross sectional survey of females (my friends) haha, aged 19-27 decided the SL was much sexier, whereas the Porsche Carrera just carried more name.. They put the SL on par w/ a Ferrari in terms of looks, and said it was a "younger" car than the Porsche which they said brings the word "mid-life-crisis" to mind. I personally think the SL is sexier, but the Porsche is just as good looking but in a very sporty way. I love both cars and wouldn't be considering the 997 if I didn't thihnk it was a WONDERFUL automobile :-)

Yea it's heavy.. But apparently at the famed nurburgring it posted the same time as a 997C2S in "sport" PASM mode.. I think it's the extra power..

It also bested a 360 modena, M6, RS4, Lancer EVO, NSX, C6 Corvette, and the new M5.. Pretty amazing for a 4200 lb car, and not to mention that's with stock 18" skinny 265 tires and no Brabus lowering kit (i had that added..heh)

Of course a 997 C4S would definately do better!!

There's the link for reference.. it's quite interesting to look at! Carrera GT's are QUICK, and so are SLR's!
