More headroom? Lowering seat?
Is there any way to lower the standard power seat?
I'm 6'4" and with my helmet on I cannot get comfortable. My helmet hits the headliner in a major way when at a reasonable seat angle. In order to clear the roof I'm reclining more than I'd like to. I really don't want to rip out my seats just for DEs.

I'm the same height and the only real combo I found that would allow for helmet use was a 996 turbo with sunroof delete and GT3 seats.
997 is next best thing. We're just too tall.
Only car that is adequate for my height with helmet when stock is the new M5.

Maybe your helmet is too tall, like this one?
Seriously, I recall reading about a kit that could lower the seats. However, that could have been for the 996 like Jeff (icon) stated earlier.

I've tried the GT3 buckets and my shoulders and hips are too wide for them - they pinch bone and roll my shoulders and the seats aren't tall enough for me. Yes I'm a big tall guy. The big PITA is that I'm long in the torso.
I have a Bell helmet and I've heard when worn that they are taller than an Arai. Can anyone confirm this? It might just be easier to wear a lower profile helmet.
I really don't want to rip out my full leather seats because on the street they are great. I'm thinking of either trading the car in for a 997 GT3 or keeping it and buying a 996 GT3 for track use and putting in racing seats - mounted to the floor if need be. It's becoming that uncomfortable.
