Fun's over, Dan. Well, the 170 MPH+ kind of fun anyway. Welcome back to the USA. When is your baby scheduled to join you?

Porsche gives the usual "8-10 weeks" for delivery after a Euro Delivery. But it's funny how I keep trying to start my other cars with the key in the left hand, keep trying to turn up the radio from the steering wheel...

I won't miss the $6.65 a gallon for super bleifrei though!!

Oh, Dan Well your wait will be needed "Cold turkey", but you better forget that wonderful feeling of going 170mph down the autobahn/strada and replace it with a 65 mph on the US 101 feeling, by the time your car arrives back to its new home!!

I had that problem upon return as well. Jumping in the family wagon with the key in my left!! Ready to go way too fast

BTW, I heard that my car hit the port on monday the 3rd. That would of been 4weeks since drop off. However, this is an east coast port.

150-160 mph twice this week but alas traffic required hard braking.
When are you returning to "US" Dan?

Dave, where in Boston can you get to such speed without attraction too much attention from state patrol? Best I've been in mine is 120.

That's the one thing I don't like about euro delivery. I've been jealous as hell of all of the cool fun you've been having living my dream, but the wait now has got to be real pain!

I hope if I ever have the opportunity to do euro delivery that i can keep my current 911 during the wait before I part with it (or ideally retire it to the collection ).

170 mph!!!! How many times did you get into that range? How did she do? How long do you suspect it took to go from 0 to 170?

I would LOVE to go that fast in my car, but alas it is too dangerous around here with all of the cars. I might go to Eastern Washington where it is dessert and the roads are straight and unpopulated so I can see what she can do, but I'd never think that 170 was very feasible on anything less than a perfect track or the Bonneville Salt Flats.

So far the fastest I've gone in the 911 is 125, but ironically I wasn't driving! The fastest I've personally done is 120. I've got my Benz up to 140 on the track and am scheduled to hit the track on 8/9/06 so hopefully I'll be able to touch 150 (the straight is shorter now than when I had the Benz on it in 2000).
