Default B&M Short Shifter

Can anyone confirm that the B&M Short shifter (http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id...cat=15&pid=187) is compatible with the 2006 997? I bought one for my '03 996 and didn't use it, so I thought I would use it on my 2007 997 - however my dealer thinks it is a different shifter.

I figured he was wrong, as dealers usually are on technical questions, but I noticed a couple of interesting items:

1) B&M's instructions state MY 2005 (all models) and do not specifically state MY 2006 (it's halfway through 2006, so docs should be updated).
2) Porsches Tequipment list only includes the 2005 911 with part number 997 424 983 00.
3) The Build Your Porsche configurator offers the Short Shifter as a standard option instead of Tequipment (where the XLF Sport Exhaust still resides).

Is it possible he is right and 2006-2007 is different from 2005?

Doug, the 996 one can be made to work but you actually want the 997 one. Otherwise with the 996 version you have to do some filling...

Now waitaminute....Eric, the one you carry is the exact same one I linked in my original post. Alex, you say I need the 997 and not the 996 model. B&M's website doesn't say they are different and says the model Eric and I are talking about fits the 2005 997 and all 996's, and Eric seems to confirm.

I personally asked B&M about two weeks ago, and their website information was not yet updated, but the package contents have been, according to them, and it is applicable to ALL variants I listed. That was B&M's comment.
