Here's what to do:

1. Remove wheels
2. Wash wheels & calipers with carwash liquid and water
3. Dry everything with a nice fresh soft towel or chamios
4. Polish calipers until the color comes back
5. Apply Zaino to wheels inside and out (no affiliation)
6. Wipe off Zaino
6. Reinstall wheels
7.Tell carwash guy to use the carwash liquid and nothing else or you will kill him

Problem Solved!

The black calipers won't come back to black because they aren't painted like red or yellow versions. Here is a pic of what they look like if you paint them as I had done

From looking at your photo I can only detect what appears to be a reflection of one of your spokes. This being a repainted version from you comments, it looks good. I'd like to see postings of pictures of them faded where they will not come back. I just can't believe they paint can't be revived. However, perhaps it's a high temp. resin or epoxy paint, not governed by the same rules we us on our body paint??!!

I don't have a pic of before but that line you see is a reflection, mine look as good as the red painted version. The OE is a resin or something different from paint. I think the body shop charged $200 per caliper.

I'm not sure how well this type of paint will respond to compounding or polishing. I have noticed one of my brakes has an overspray on it of a very fine black. I'll clay it and try to wax it. My car is silver?

I agree with you--there's no way the standard black calipers are painted the same as the reds (on the S or Turbo) or yellows (PCCB's). My dealer's loaners (Boxsters and Cayennes) all are greyish/black and I've got my doubts that it's because of how they're cleaning them. Personally, I've had no problem with the caliper paint on any of mine (all of which are red--Turbo, 997S, Boxster S).

Just re-paint your calipers. It will take 5 hours (+/-) and cost about $25. Here is a link to a thread I started which shows the results of painting my stock black calipers red.
