Why is the 997 SmartTop so much more than the 996 version?

I reviewed the website and I believe if you add the controller for the remote key it comes out to about the same price.

I can't respond to this question as it is considered an aftermarket product and therefore would not be covered by any Porsche warranty, I imagine-- Like any aftermarket non-Porsche eqpt. If the Wilhelmy eqpt was removed before receiving warranty service, only Porsche could answer that question.

I'm getting some good questions regarding the product and the transactions. Let me share a few things with all just to clear the air. I don't work for these guys and am not getting any special deal for myself, I pay what we'll all pay. I am dealing with SVEN (feel free to contact him if you like) and he's been great. He wants to give us the best deal possible and our numbers will determine that deal.

Also, everyone will deal directly with Wilhelmy (the manufacturer) to purchase their equipment. We will be given a discount code that will reduce the cost of the unit during check-out on "their" website. I've read some great things about this device and, good or bad, have picked-up the negotiations to get interested parties a little better deal than if we went in alone. You will NOT be dealing with me, but them once we reach some good numbers. I'm just counting heads and fielding questions to move this process along as I want my unit! If you're not ready, hang-back, do your homework and buy at your leisure. This is an opportunity to move fast and get a discount for those who have done their homework and know what they're getting.

What is our count at the moment?

I just recieved an email from Sven, the Sales Manger responsible for dealing with us on the smart tops. HE IS GOING TO GIVE US THE 20 UNIT PRICE!!!!!
