I have the display etched into my mirror with the "box" hidden somewhere in the back of the car, completely out of sight. There is also a lidatek LE-30 that is integrated into the mirror's display.
I had the same set up in the E55 and never had a problem with reduced effectiveness. Pricey, but completely stealth and works great.

Box etched into your mirror? Hate to sound stupid but what the?! Can you post a pic for mr. retard, here? Also, I had two E55's over the years and that is still the best car I've ever owned. I needed more leg room as I'm 6'2'', 220 and haul clients around from time to time. As you know there is limited space in the back when you have long legs up front. I have a 745LI now, but it isn't even the mere shadown of my E55. I haven't driven the new one, but I don't care for the Chryslerization of the body.

Do a search on the Rennlisst for the Valentine display put into the rearview mirror. Only problem with that I have found is where should the antenna go? You can go stealthy without compromising your detection range considerably.

There has to be a better solution. I still have a rather ancient Passport (runs off a 9V battery) but it's so small, internally powered,--I usually stick it to the top of my roof with velcro,--but the V1 is just too large,--and with that wire. I will doubtlessly wire in a plug adjacent to the rearview mirror but I wish it were less intrusive. But,--it does give off great early warning.

And a HOT brick of magnesium to boot! I have found that mine gets very hot during operations,--both from being powered up, and being exposed to the sun in the windshield.

1. Make it smaller, come on this isn't the 80's
2. Use more efficient heat synchs with more ventilation-cooler
3. Make a grill version with remote viewer (already have the remote so they're half way there).
4. Quit counting your money and hurry the fk-up.
