When it comes time to sell IMO most would prefer the Bose vs not.

No, the original poster is buying a 2007, not a used car. His question had to do with the resale value of a 997 with or without the Bose system. You pay $1350 new and it is worth $320 a year later. Bad for the original new car buyer, not so bad for the used buyer.

I heard them both side-by-side and there was no comparison. I bought the upgraded stereo and love, love it. If you're not an audiophile, who cares. If you are, you better get it.
