What I almost bought. Beautiful wheels.

The more I see those wheels, the more I love them. The low weight certainly makes them attractive as well.

Crazy, that's a sweet ride. And yes, those wheels look good on black--good choice.

Should the color of the car impact wheel selection?

These are very lightweight (20lbs F and 24lbs R) and include titanium lugs for $4k per set:

http://www.rennworx.com/rennwheels.htm

Or, you can get the new Manthey (BBS) magnesium 18" wheels (about 2lbs lighter each) for $8,700 a set...

Or, you can get the new DyMag magnesium (hub) and carbon fiber (rim) wheels which weigh in at only 14lbs (F) and 16lbs (R) for about $7,500 a set.

The stock lobsters are about 24 (F) and 28 (R).

Another vote for the Champion RG5. I have them on my car.

They are forged (very light and very strong).

I was not aware the Techs were heavy,...intersting. I like the deep dish look with minimal spokes. Any other suggestions??

Living in the Seattle area and having great relationship with the local Porsche club, I can say that you can't go wrong with the Fikse wheels. They are awesome!

and HRE C21's.

My $0.02 HREs have a bad reputation for failure at the track. Do a search and there was a thread on here about the failure and possible ban (SCCA???) from a sanctioning body. They are more bling-a-ling than the Kinesis.

I called Dave on this and he said that you have it the wrong way around, that it was Kinesis wheels that failed but it was due to inappropriate treating to remove powdercoating.
