I do not know the answers to your questions, but would like to ask you a couple.

I had been planning to buy PSE from the dealer and have them install it. So, did you find a better place to buy it? Where?

Don't know if it is polite to list another forum here, so I'll just say that very detailed directions are available to members of one of the other forums. PM me if you want more info. I'm not mechanically inclined, but others who are say it is easy if you don't do the electronics.

I would have asked that before I ordered the system . Lol.

If you can jack up the car and use a wrench, you can do it yourself .
I have installation instructions. I don't think they are included with the PSE
hardware .
If you are interested , I will be happy to e-mail them to you ( It's about 12- 13 pages)

you can install mufflers without electronics and have it on all the time. an alternative is to install mufflers+vacuum hoses no electronics. this way you can have it on or off by connecting or disconnectingone vaccum tube in the engine bay. a 20 second job.

Is the general view that having it on all of the time is the way to go?

BTW, I have a vette with side pipes, so doubt the PSE will shock me very much.

Default Thinking of PSE without electronics

Is it in 'loud' mode with NO vaccuum line and quiet when the vaccum line attached?

loud with no vaccum tubes. can be switch loud/quite with vacuum tubes by coonecting/disconnecting one of the tubes from engine bay. iprefer installing tubes so i can have it on quite for long freeway trips.

Crap weather all day, and the wife asked that I have the electronics installed so off to the dealer it went. I pick it up today. I had the instructions (thanks Rolf) and it didn't look too difficult at all, but the wiring stuff is over my head.

Oscar94,
How much did the dealer charge you? Did they have any problems removing in interior to connect the switch? I'm still waiting to get my install.
Thanks.
