Question Cabriolet Rear Window Problem

My driver's side rear window has the tendency to get stuck about half-way whenever I close the top; it happens about half of the time. I then have to close the window by using the button in the door and it works just fine.

Before I take it to the dealer, any explanations? Thanks.

Mine works perfectly. Since it is a minor problem, I would wait until something else comes up before going to the dealer.

Of course, I am use to GM Cars, maybe you will never have another problem and my advice will be way off the mark!

I had the same exact thing happen to my Audi A4 cab
Dealer replaced the regulator, and the problem was solved.

About 30% of the time my passenger window won't go up all of the way when I'm raising the top. Simply pressing the button again causes it to work so I suspect the pinch sensor is turned up way high or something because it goes up most of the way and then bounces down like when something is pinched.

yes, it sounds like a regulator problem. I have this problem with my other car and believe me it will get worse. You should take it in

Try resetting the window by pressing on either up or down and hold it there for 60 sec after window is no longer moving.

That actually did the trick for some time, but now I'm having trouble again. I'm going to have the regulator replaced.

Ha, you have a good memory! Well, that only worked out at the friendship level. I'm too old (= too boring) for this whole partying and drinking thing. However, I did meet somebody really nice after that and even though the Porsche was not involved at all, she quickly got the right outfit...

Hey Wolfgang, she's a real looker.

Is this also a case of love at first sight?

Not in the way the Porsche was... I hate to say it... but as you know, I'm leaving for Germany in three days and what I will miss most is the Porsche. This car is still so new and exciting to me, there's no competition. And she knows and understands it, actually. Which is a good sign I guess.

So are you handing her the keys to take care of your baby while you're gone, is that why she's donning the gear already? ..

Too bad you can't take her with you for company so you won't be tempted by your students. *wink, wink*
