Just heard 997s Manual with Evo intake and Fabspeed muffler bypass. Awesome sound. Thinking about ordering. What do you think. Don't care about power differences but the sweet sound

 

thats the route i'm going albeit the intake. what did you think about the sound in person, was it too loud and obtrusive and unrefined, or did you think it sounded great? My brother has bypass on his bmw 330i and although it's loud, it sounds unrefined just loud exhaust almost ricer-car status.

 

It sounded really nice. When cruising it isn't bad ( says owner of car) when he stomped on it though, it sounded like you were at the track. I liked it, gonna get it. There is a video on fabspeed website that duplicates the sound I heard pretty well.

Aren't you worried about the loudness of the cat bypass pipes for everyday use?

 

the muffler bypass in addition to the cat bypass is LOUD. i had both on for only 10 minutes before taking the muffler bypass out. buddy told me he could hear me miles away...and that it was still loud.

 

I recently did flash, fabspeed headers & sport cats, evo intake on my 997S and it has deep growl at low speed, loud whine at high speed full throttle. Sound is superb. Very tolerable on street, and same time on open road it really howls if you want it. I'm very satisfied.

 

Talked to Fabspeed today; I was worried the combination of the muffler bypass and the sport cats might be too loud. He said, there wouldn't, the sound mostly comes from the muffler bypass pipes. Thoughts??
