Default Is $79,997 a good price for this 2005 C2S?

I'm helping a friend break his BMW habit. Is $80k a fair price for a 2005 C2S Black/Black, 5,009 miles, with the following options? The fact that it has PCCB, and adaptive sport seats make this seem attractive. Oh, the car is on the east coast and the buyer is in Seattle so mtransport will probably be $1,500.

Thanks - Brad

2005 911 Carrera S $79,997
19 inch Carrera S wheel
Adaptive sports seats
Automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors
BOSE Surround Sound System
Heated seats
Navigation module for PCM
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
Sport Chrono Package Plus

I'd estimate that without the PCCB's the car would sticker at $87,000 give or take $1500. Add in the PCCB's and you're looking at ~$95,000.

It seems like a pretty good deal, but I'd probably go take a look at it in person before sealing the deal.

You didn't mention whether it has full leather. If it does, it sounds very much like a "launch" car (like mine) and the sticker would have been $99,300. I'm not up on used prices, but my gut is that $79K is in a reasonable ballpark.

Yes with PCCB option 80K is a very fair price for that car. Best of Luck and let us know if you get it.

I just (March) bought a perfect 997S loaded (Nav, Bose, Chrono, clear bra, upgraded wheeks) with 4,500 miles for $75K from Miami exotic car dealer on eBay. $80 sounds a little high.

Looks good, the PCCBs are ultra expensive.

Expensive options do not necessarily translate to a significantly increased used car sale price. PCCB is a great case-in-point; although it was an expensive option new, maintaining them is also expensive...as used 997s get older, the option will likely DECREASE the value of the car.

It's a used Porsche. They could be 5k track miles for all the buyer knows (note that he's on the other side of the country).

Personally, I would not pay a $5k premium (as you implied) for PCCBs on a used 997 S, but to each his own.

Hey Alan not every Porsche is tracked. In fact the majority never even see a race track. I bought my 2005 997S used with under 6K from a famous chef who never tracked it and didn't even join the Porsche club. He sold this car to get a new Ferrari. When I brought it to my warehouse and put it up on my lift it confirmed to me that my car had never seen a race track. Like I said most don't.

just make sure the vehicle is not a PDE car, and check it out first, personally, or having a rennlist member who's local to check it out
