Default STEALTHAUTO BULBS

The website below sells clear bulbs which light up amber when activated (purpose is to replace the amber bulb with the new clear one so you can't see it thru the clear sidemarker). I've searched their site and they only list Porsches up til 2004. Which bulbs would I buy?

Also, in the manual it says to use W3W bulbs in the sidemarkers. Chinese to me relative to the websites product. I know one of them will fit though.

For the main indicators in the front bumper, and rear light assembly....use Phillips silvervision....These bulbs remove about 80% of the amber look, with no loss off brightness.

For all the other bulbs, the company to go with is Hoen. Super high quality bulbs....and they make a chrome amber bulb that fits the sidemarkers...FYI, you will experience a reduction in brightness on the side markers (I tried a bunch, the Hoen was the best)

I really like their city lights (these are the other lights that come on when you turn on the headlights)..The OEM Porsche ones are Philips bluevision (because the bulb is blue) The problem is that they are still a different color to the main beam Xenon lights...The bulbs from Hoen match perfectly.....As do their High beam bulb....I don't use this though because it casts a blue shadow in the main light housing when switched off ....

Sorry, final point regarding your sidemarkers, there are a number of bulbs suitable for use in the housing....The one to order is W5W.

I'll take your word for it on the w5w, but the manual says w3w

Remember you're looking at a USA owners manual, but the clear sidemarkers are for ROW vehicles. The manual says w3w (which refers to the clear bulb used in the amber sidemarker lens), but when you look inside the clear sidemarker lens it gives a list of bulbs that are suitable to use and w5w is listed....

I also checked with the dealer.....basically, been where you are, and asked the questions; nothing to worry about
