Default what tires for 19" "S" fitment provide longest

treadlife...

I'm not into track and hard cornering, I'd trade away soft compound for long treadlife and durability.

What would you say is the most tire for the money in terms of bang for the buck

(Off brands OK)

Conti has the best tread life.

Has anyone tried Toyo or one of the other newer Japanese brands?

I've got the stock Michelins and, surprisingly, they have about 1/3 of their original tread at 17,000 miles. I have not had the car on a track or autocrossed it yet but I do drive agressively on the back roads. My 17,000+ miles includes one cross country trip of 7,350 miles, much of it at very high speeds out west.
I'm sure there are some tires that will fit that are more suited for wear but Porsche will not approve them unless they are on their short list.

I just changed my Michelins at 17,500, and I really could have waited a couple months on the rears and longer on the fronts. These are the longest lasting tires I have ever had on a p-car.
