I'll definitely try to take pics of the whole experience, and post them asap, but don't kill me if it takes a little bit of time.

Actually, Mulroney is the name of the sticker that they put in your window that discloses the options on the car. For us European Delivery folks, it's what we essentially 'trade' for our car in Germany when we show up,--it signifies to Porsche AG that we paid for it.

Default Build and delivery dates

My previous 996 C4S was built on 2/14 and I had the keys in my hands on 3/6. 3 weeks - not bad.

The real key point is that there are many variables here:

Demand and allocation for each country mean in some cases you might order your car TWELVE MONTHS before it is built and delivered.

Delivery time varies according to country. Clearly if you live in Stuttgart it has got to be a faster delivery time than is you live in Sydney.

The key metric is time from entering into production through to leaving the factory gates.

Good luck to all the waiters. I'm probably picking up the car tommorrow or today, as I'm having a guy come to the dealer to install my K40 Calibre (Remote with blutooth, front laser diffusers). I'll wait one more day I guess. At least I'll get an extra day of 4.74% on my $...

They caught one that could be modified in the build cycle at the last moment. At our dealership we can even call the PCNA Rep and he can make a few phone calls to get a particular car changed that is still at the factory. Carrera's cannot be built that quick.

Either way, it's great news for you, and no, there will be no issue's with quality..... Enjoy it!!

Congrats on the car, by the way! Can you tell me where you found the 4.74% rate? My FCU is at 5.24% right now.
