Definitely.

I have an AS car and I "like" to keep it dirty in non-summer months. If I wash it I won't be able drive it unless the day is crystal clear.

Since my AS looks pretty good when dirty it's not a big problem keeping it that way.

I can imagine this situation becoming hugely exacerbated if you're dealing with a black car.

Hummmm, sounds like things are improving! When I lived there, Winter ( 50, cloudy, wet) was 10 months a year and summer was two weeks long in July.
