As others have said, the MFSW would be useful with phone and/or navigation. I have neither, and still find the MFSW somewhat useful scrolling through the audio menus...but ultimately I would've prefered to delete the PCM altogether (Boxster/Cayman-style center stack) and get the sport wheel. The MFSW in my BMW was more useful; the MFSW in my Audi is less useful.

The functions on the wheel can be learned with time I believe but in all my cars I preferred to use the console controls rather than the MFSW controls. However I think one should not compensate the form of the wheel (beefy, thick with grab points) for couple of functions. My M3 MFSW was the best I had in my cars, best of both worlds.

Gotta have it. I love the "page" button to scroll between stereo functions and the Nav/map. It's also great for the phone. However, I forced myself to get comfortable using it during my first couple of trips. LIke many things, once you get comfortable with it, you'll wonder how you can live without.
