Wing? De-Wing? Un-Wing? Bi-Wing?
Here's what a REAL wing looks like. No compromise and looks hugely more effective than the dandy (poseur?) ones that currently come with, e.g., the 997 Turbo.
Hey Porsche: You could develop *optional* wings that UNBOLT for street use! WOW what a stunning concept!
Maybe Porsche can offer this as an option on the turbo so I don't have to get a less-efficient, stylistically embellished, PERMANENT wing on the Turbo.
Like I said in the other post, when I trade the 997S for the Turbo, I don't want to be seen as a d-bag/superhero by the neighbors/kids when driving past.

i personally hate wings on cars unless its truely needed for a race car...they were something i thought was cool when i was 8 years old...it ruins the lines on beautiful sports cars such as porsches , ferraris and lambos...i even dont like the optional wing on the lambo diablo....now the retractable spoiler on the 911s are functional and are classy looking and i can tolerate the wing on the gt3 because its functional and because the gt 3 is such a great car

The difference in performance between the fixed GT3 wing and the retractible spoiler on the 997/S is it sigificant enough for road use?
