Default 600 Mile Weekend

I'm curious as to the "honeymoon" experience others have had when taking delivery of their new 997.

I took picked her up on Thursday afternoon. (She had been waiting for me for over a week) I guess I made up for lost time. By Saturday evening I had logged over 600 exhilerating miles.

A short summary of key moments.

Seeing the Carerra Sport Wheels for the first time.
No tickets - Radar Detector/Laser Jammer worked great.
Several compliments from nearby motorists. (Thumbs-up)
One "teen-age" Mustang rider hoping to drag-race.
One red-neck jacka$$ flicking a cigarette at me. (He missed)
Valet let ME park right in front
Every time I pressed the "Sport" button. (The new Deutsch national anthem)
95 MPH - Yet not exceeding the 4200 RPM break-in recommendation.

I'm heading back north to the summer residence in three weeks. Driving from Florida to the Hudson Valley in lower NY state. Does anyone have any tips on good driving routes or destinations? I'm thinking either an inland route up through the Blue-Ridge mountains or the coastal route from Charleston through the Outer Banks, Chesapeake, etc. ( I bought her to drive her)

I don't know if you have heard of it, but how about the www.tailofthedragon.com
Great lodge I stayed at last year when there was the www.tapocolodge.com

This is a mecca for Motorbikes and sports cars alike. Never heard of it before last year. But it is amusement ride and you are driving.

Check the calendar of events. It is often crowded!! Beautiful scenery too!
